Kentucky's friendliest church may be in Kidder

Bible Belt Blogger: Kentucky's friendliest church may be in Kidder

"If you want to see a friendly church you must come visit us in southern Kentucky in a place called Kidder KY. Our little country church is a church that loves visitors and you'll be treated like a family member as soon as you come inside the doors. Liberty Baptist Church is a very busy church. We do a lot of on hands mission work in several parts of the world including the Great USA. We have a monthly first Sunday of the month fellowship luncheon, with lots of good country cooking. This year we've decided that since people are so busy after church on Sunday during the summer, we'll have it after the evening worship services and then fellowship. If you come on Sunday morning I promise you'll be invited to go out to eat with us at a very nice country cooking place in Monticello KY.

Our pastor preaches out of the King James Version Bible and he's not a long winded preacher. You might even get to hear "Jesus Loves Me" sang by our little ones several times.

We don't hand out little bullitins each Sunday telling you what the preacher is going to preach about nor do we have a schedule to go by.

If you like to hear Bible preached you will like it here.

Oh, by the way, my husband is the pastor of Liberty Baptist Church and has been going on 23 years.

We have a wonderful congregation in our church.

We're not a mega church , we all know each other, not like your mega churches where you don't know many people in the church.

Well, I could go on and on but one needs to see for themselves what kind of church we have.

You are officially invited." -- Linda Price

Readers: It sounds like Liberty Baptist Church ought to be on the short list for Friendliest House of Worship in Kentucky. When Mrs. Price sends me the service times and an address, I will add them to this post. If you know of a warm, welcoming congregation -- and in a state as big as Kentucky there must be many -- please tell us about it.
