  • Frank Lockwood is the religion editor at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Frank is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Idaho College of Law. In 2004, he received a Knight Wallace Fellowship at the University of Michigan. A native of Oregon, Frank has been a reporter in Idaho, Kentucky and Washington, D.C.

An Episcopal Church spokesman, asked to predict what will happen in the wake of the Anglican communion summit, quoted The Gospel According to Winston Churchill:

"I always avoid prophesying beforehand, because it is a much better policy to prophesy after the event has already taken place."

As they struggle to keep conservatives and liberals at the same table, some Episcopalians no doubt will be mindful of another Churchill quote:

Never, never, never, never give up.
