They've been the president's strongest supporters: evangelicals between the ages of 18 and 29. But they're turning on the Commander-in-Chief in the president's final months.
Between 2001 and 2005, Bush's approval ratings among this group ranged from 70 to 87 percent. But in a poll by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, only 45 percent now back Mr. Bush.
Meanwhile, Democrats are working hard to peel away evangelical voters in 2008. This poll suggests the strategy has potential.
