The night of our wedding we'll be sleeping in the same bed Ulysses S. Grant slept in - different mattress, I hope. A Civil War enthusiast, my fiance is thrilled. Me, I'm more excited about the room's whirlpool tub.

The Saturday before Easter was warm and dappled with sunshine at Garvan Woodland Gardens, where folks packed the woods to get a glimpse of newborn tulips and hunt for Easter eggs.

My schedule's getting fuller now with no sign of letting up until after the wedding. Showers, formal portraits, family visits and smoothing over the final wrinkles of planning will keep me busy, but no doubt I'll still squeeze in time to be nervous. Read more...

We had planned an inexpensive, romantic honeymoon in the first place we went as a couple, Panama City Beach, Fla. We were going to stay in the same hotel and play on the same beach we had in 2005 when we were newly dating. Hurricane Katrina cut our first trip short, and Thunder Beach Rally has made our honeymoon there impossible. Read more...
