Farewell, Blog

Goodbye, Fit to be Tied. I'll miss writing here every week, but I fear I didn't conjure many original ideas about wedding planning.

Still, I suppose every wedding is unique, and I did this one my way.
Except, I did very little. Worried a lot, planned a lot, but it was a cadre of lovely ladies from my mother-in-law to my bridesmaids and other good friends who really made the day special.
I sort of sat around like a lace-covered whale with a chest cold while everyone else did the work. And after endless yearning for elopement, I am glad we had the wedding just as it was.
We were much blessed with beautiful weather and incredibly thoughtful attendants.
Daisies, sunshine and my groom: That's what I remember about the ceremony. The reception too was a blur. So many people, so little time!
Ah, but the honeymoon was amazing! Turns out sleeping in Grant's bed was lovely. The mansion itself was beautiful, and 90 percent of the library's books were original to the home. You could even take an antique book back to your room.
Needless to say, the bathtub was a dream!
The cruise was exciting, relaxing, fattening. You can actually order room service round the clock, and the food, which already is paid for, arrives promptly and perfectly prepared at your door. What a wonderful way to travel!
So I end this blog happily married and merrily ignoring my weight gain ... for now. I hope my focus will shift from being fit to be tied to trying to be fit.
