FORT SMITH — Deep-dish is one thing, but “pot” is another to Fort Smith police, who arrested a pizza parlor manager who is accused of selling marijuana out of the drive-through window of his restaurant.
Police said Monday they had been told that employees had been smoking marijuana inside a Pizza Hut restaurant on Grand Avenue and that drugs were being sold there.
Police and a state Alcohol Beverage Control officer went to the business Friday, where a search turned up six ounces of marijuana and a set of digital scales. The items were in the manager’s office inside a briefcase bag with the name “Aaron” on it.
Arrested was 28-year-old Aaron Massey of Fort Smith, the restaurant manager. He is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, Fort Smith police said.
Massey was released on $3,500 bond.
