NLR officer remembered by friends on force
North Little Rock police officer Ralph McMoran, a 37-year veteran of the force, died late Wednesday after feeling weak at a firing-range exercise and asking other officers to take him to a hospital.
McMoran, 68, spent most of his career working patrol but spent time investigating burglaries and serving warrants.
Hired April 19, 1971, McMoran won notice from his superiors throughout his career.

“He’s a very thinking person,” former Chief William Nolan said. “He had a great ability to concentrate on what he was doing and make sure you got the best out of him. Always a very good performer for us.”
