— 1. Remember the planet. It’s a day of eco-friendly fun as the Arkansas Earth Day Foundation and the Clinton Presidential Center present the Arkansas Earth Day Festival.

The main festival will include games, shopping, food, beginners’ bike rides and educational activities, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The Aquaduct, a bike that cleans water as you pedal, will also make its debut. A concert and fashion show for ages 18 and older starts at 7 p.m. at ArtScene, 201 Maple St., North Little Rock. 2. Solve it. A master detective takes a final bow at the Arkansas Repertory Theatre this weekend. Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure ends its run with performances at 8 p.m. today-Saturday and 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday.

3. Jump in. With carnival rides and games, inflatable play areas, magicshows, golf, Alltel’s NASCAR and music, there’s something for all ages at the Maumelle Family Fest, 5-10 p.m.

4Take off. Exercise with a purpose at two events on Saturday.

The March of Dimes presents its March for Babies 5K walk, 8 a.m.

Saturday in downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock. The walk starts in the U.S. Bank parking lot, 1 Riverfront Place, North Little Rock. There is no registration fee, but participants are encouraged to get sponsors or donations. Call (501) 663-3100.

Meanwhile, Radio Disney presents Run, Read and Recycle 8 a.m.

Saturday at Forest Heights Middle School’s Scott Field, 5901 Evergreen St. Children can take part in the Book It, Baby, Book It! one-mile run and the whole family can enjoy the quarter-mile fun run, crafts and Earth Day activities. Participants are invited to bring books to donate. Run registration is $5 and proceeds benefit Reach Out and Read Arkansas. Visit www.

5. Take a hike. The Arkansas State Parks system is celebrating its75th birthday and DeGray LakeResort State Park is getting in on the party. Today through Sunday, the park will celebrate with kayak adventures, lake tours, hikes and games. An ice cream social and slideshow will be held Saturday evening. Most activities are free but there is a small fee for tours. Call (501) 865-2801.

6. Eat up. Chow down on crawfish and all the fixings at Craws forPaws, 7 p.m.-midnight Saturday in the River Market Pavilion. This benefit for the Humane Society of Pulaski County will include music with Hazy Jayne. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Visit www.crawsfor paws.com or call (501) 690-6909.

7. Blossom. Flower-lovers will enjoy a walk through the GraceLutheran Church Family Life Center on Saturday. A wide variety of irises and iris-themed art will be available for sale during the Central Arkansas Iris Society’s annual show, 1-4 p.m. The church is at the corner of Kavanaugh Boulevard and Hillcrest Avenue. Admission is free. Call (501) 664-2903.

8. Sip. Take part in an old-world tradition as St. Matthew’s EpiscopalChurch hosts an English Tea, 10 a.m.

Saturday. The tea will include such traditional foods as scones, cucumber sandwiches and tarts. The church is at 1112 Alcoa Road in Benton and tickets are $8. Call (501) 315-3396.

9. Climb aboard. Downtown Fordyce is celebrating its railroadroots with the annual Fordyce on the Cotton Belt Festival, through Saturday. Arts and crafts, model train display, music, antique tractor and classic car shows, contests, a 5K run and a parade are scheduled.

10. Stump. The Old State House Museum takes a look back atArkansas politics through the years in “A Circus Hitched to a Tornado: Arkansas Politics in the 20th Century.” This new exhibit opens today and continues through Oct.

25, 2009. Museum hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, 1-5 p.m.
