— Although the cause of death for Olivia Jan Ward are not known new forensic techniques have helped investigators rule out homicide in the 1989 death.

A third autopsy performed by Dr. John Pless, an Indiana forensic pathologist retained by Tim Williamson of Mena, and a computerized tomography scan failed to provide evidence that could lead to a homicide conclusion.

These findings are the opposite of those of an autopsy by Dr. Harry Bonnell in 2004.
