YELL COUNTY - The Yell County Literacy Council needs volunteers tutors in the Dardanelle, Danville, Belleville and Havana area.

Volunteers tutor one to two hours a week and are matched with Basic Literacy or ESL students who want to improve their English language skills in reading, writing and speaking. No previous experience is required.

Volunteers need flexible schedules and a willingness to help, and the Yell County Literacy Council offers free training for its tutors.

Additional information is available by calling the council at (479) 2229-2993.
