Public employees systems loses $300 million in portfolio value

The Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System’s investments declined in value by more than $300 million last fiscal year, a system consultant reported Wednesday.
The system’s domestic and foreign stock market investments dipped.
The value of system investments was at $5.63 billion as of June 30. Other Arkansas public systems have reported losses, with only the highway system showing gains in the year.
