— Mike Wallace, who had been a management fixture for 13 years at La Scala, has joined Mike Selig at Vermillion Water Grille, 200 Commerce St., where he is now the maitre d’ and catering/special events manager. Wallace was food and beverage manager at Chenal Country Club 1998-2008. Selig, in a statement, says he has brought Wallace on board to improve his restaurant’s customer service. Brian Isaac, co-owner of Argenta Seafood Company, 521 Main St., North Little Rock, reports that chef Matthew Bell has left the restaurant for Ashley’s at theCapital, and has been replaced in the kitchen by co-owner and Ristorante Capeo chef Eric Isaac. So far, the other brother Isaac has made just two changes - introduced a seafood lasagna and encrusted the mahi-mahi in almonds with an amaretto sauce.
