Dreams can start anywhere. For a young man in Little Rock named Brooks Robinson, those dreams began on the base paths of Lamar Porter Field in Little Rock where, more often than not, he would find himself thinking of George Kell.


In 1943, Kell broke into the big leagues with the Philadelphia A’s, completing a journey that began in the northeast Arkansas town of Swifton.
