The Second Amendment is now in the hands of the nation’s highest ranking jury, so to speak. Nine robed justices will review the merits of the case styled District of Columbia vs. Heller and render a ruling sometime this summer. At issue is the district’s absolute ban on individual handgun ownership, one of the strictest in the country.
