College hires education coordinator

BATESVILLE — The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville has hired Kara Wilson as continuing education coordinator.
Wilson is from Paragould and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in marketing from Arkansas State University in 2000.
She has worked as public relations coordinator for St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital in Sherwood, marketing director for Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould and public relations director for the Greater Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce. Wilson has also been an event planner for corporations and individuals, including Allte, P. Allen Smith Gardens, Tipton and Hurst Florist and Greene County Tech High School.
“UACCB is a wonderful, thriving environment,” Wilson said.“The growth is phenomenal. If you are having trouble finding a classroom - well, you know, that is a great problem to have. It seems the administration andstaff have proven to be visionary leaders and planners. The faculty and staff are great to work with and have made me feel right at home in a short time.”
