JACKSONPORT — Jacksonport State Park has recovered from record flooding this year in Arkansas and will reopen Friday.
Park Superintendent Mark Ballard said Wednesday repairs were made to park facilities over the last several weeks, and the campground, picnic area, Mary Woods No. 2 paddleboat museum and boat ramp will reopen.
The flooding that began in March took at least five lives and caused extensive property damage in the state. At Jacksonport park, the mud was 8-10 inches deep in some places.
