After nearly two years of raising money, jetting from state to state to give still another stump speech and shaking countless hands, a victory in Tuesday’s election comes down to 270 votes. That’s enough for a majority of the Electoral College, the group of 538 electors selected by voters in each state to participate in a December ballot to determine who will be the next president.
