LITTLE ROCK — 1Giddyup. In celebration of the new “Frederic Remington Makes Tracks” exhibit opening Saturday, the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas in Pine Bluff has planned a weekend full of Western fun. For Pioneer Days, a Wild West town full of hands-on demonstrations and activities will be open 1-4 p.m. A gallery talk and reception about artist Remington is planned for 3-5 p.m. Sunday.
All activities will be at the Arts Center, 701 Main St. in Pine Bluff. The Remington exhibit continues through Jan. 24. Admission is free. Call (870) 536-3375.
2Stock up. Pottery, paintings, photographs, glass, drawings and jewelry, all created by Museum School instructors and students, will be set out for your perusal at the Museum School Sale, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. So stop by the Arkansas Arts Center in case you haven’t finished your Christmas shopping. Admission is free. (501) 372-4000.
3Hop on. If you’re still suffering from election withdrawal, the C-SPAN Campaign 2008 Bus makes three stops in Little Rock this weekend.
The 45-foot mobile production studio and educational vehicle will be open for tours, offering information on campaign media coverage. Stops include: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, River Market; 2-4 p.m. Saturday, WordsWorth Books & Co., 5920 R St.; 12:30-3 p.m. Sunday, Clinton Presidential Center. Admission is free. For some lively Christmas-related fun,head to the Don Owens Sports Complex at Interstate 40 and U.S. 65 in Conway, where Dazzle Daze is in full swing 10 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. In addition to shopping, the event offers breakfast with Mr. and Mrs.

5Find out. Explore the world of the American Indian atthe Museum of Discovery’s Tribal Trails. S.D. Youngwolf, a member of the Cherokeetribe, will share his people’s culture through tales, art, music and dance. The program continues at 9:30 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. today and 11:30 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday. Museum admission is $8, $7 for ages 65 and older and children 1-12.

6Take a look. The Junior League of North Little Rockinvites everyone to take a peek into some homes and get a few decorating ideas at its Home for the Holidays tour ofhomes. This year’s tour will be in the Chimney Rock neighborhood. Three houses, decorated by local designers, will be decked out in seasonal finery.
Hours are noon-7 p.m. Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10. There will also bea preview luncheon today, $25, and a wine and cheese reception 7-10 p.m. today for $20.

7Do a jig. Don your hoop skirt and practice your reels.
Jacksonport State Park welcomes the Christmas season with its Holiday Gala Ball, 6:30 p.m. Saturday. The 52nd Regimental String Band will play tunes from the 19th century while guests twirl around the floor. Ballroom dancing instruction will start off the evening for those who are a little rusty. Admission is $8, $14 per couple, free for children under 12 and half-price for those in period dress. The park is at 205 Avenue St., Newport. Call (870) 523-2143.
8Pedal. Grab your bike, don your helmet and take a ridethrough history on a rangerled bike tour. Presented by the Little Rock Central High National Historic Site, the tour begins in the parking lot by the Arkansas Queen and the USS Razorback submarine in North Little Rock. Riders cover a 14-mile loop course while learning about the Trail of Tears in Arkansas. Riders must be 12 years or older; riders under 18 must have an adult companion. This weekend’s ride starts at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

9Take in a show. The Weekend Theater at Seventhand Chester streets wraps up its musical tribute to lives lost to AIDS with three shows this weekend. The final performances of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens start at 7:30 p.m. today-Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $18, $14 for students and ages 65 and older. 10Purchase. Fill your basket with goodies galore atJacksonville Parks and Recreation’s annual Holiday Craft and Gift Sale. Held at the Jacksonville Community Center, 5 Municipal Drive, the sale will be open noon-5 p.m. today and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $2, $1 for children. Call (501) 982-0818.
Another craft sale will take place at the Guachoya Cultural Art Center, 1625 U.S. 65 in Lake Village. The Christmas Marketplace will be open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
