BATESVILLE - The Humane Society of Independence County is planning an open house 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday to highlight “Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month.”
All dog adoptions for the month of October will be half price at $25.
There are lots of puppies and dogs, large and small, upfor adoption.
They have all their shots except rabies and have been spayed/neutered.
There will be hot dogs and sodas for anyone who stops by and visits the shelter.
The Humane Society is located at No. 5 Environmental Drive, off U.S. 167, just north of Western Sizzlin in Batesville.
