Russell Gore pulled up a shirt sleeve and pointed to the large heart tattooed on his right arm: R.I.P. Cynthia 8-30-05 “My wife,” he said Sunday morning. “I lost her in [Hurricane ] Katrina.” Now, three years after that storm flooded New Orleans and devastated Louisiana and Mississippi, Gore will face off with Gustav, defiantly waiting for the hurricane in the home he once shared with his wife.
