Saline County Library holding used book sale

BENTON — The Saline County Library will hold a usedbook sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday on the lower level of the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library, 1800 Smithers Drive in Benton. Admission is free and open to the public.
A variety of titles from several genres will be available, said Julie Hart, Saline County Library director.
“We still have the remainder of the 8,000 books Rod Lorenzen donated after he decided to close his bookstore,” said Hart.
“There are some great titles waiting to be purchased.”
Paperbacks will be available for 50 cents along with a 1,000-book comic selection for 50 cents each, and hardbacks, videos, audios and puzzles will be $1 each.
Romance paperbacks with a red stripe and men’s adventure paperbacks with a red stripe will be available at five for $1 and magazines at 10 for $1.
Funds raised from the two-day event will be applied to 2008 holiday programming for both branches of the Saline County Library.
