— What will Fountain Lake do for an encore? Score 100 points?

And if so, will the Cobras even win the game?

In case you haven't heard, Fountain Lake edged Hot Springs Lakeside 88-66 last week - and no, touchdowns weren't worth 11 points in that game. In fact, it was just one of many matchups around the state featuring stunningly high point totals.

Earle beat Hughes 70-6, and Osceola beat Rivercrest 70-36.

That's not all. Even teams with championship aspirations gave up points aplenty. Lake Hamilton lost to Pulaski Academy 63-35, and Warren lost to Pine Bluff 64-40.

And let's not forget about Nashville's Derrick Graham, who scored nine touchdowns in a 58-35 win over Liberty-Eylau of Texas.

Yes, these are football scores.

Fountain Lake (3-0), the No. 1 team in Class 3A, plays at Centerpoint (2-1) on Friday night.

In 7A, Bentonville (3-0) hosts Fayetteville (2-1) in what could be one of the year's best games. Bentonville is No. 3 overall, and Fayetteville is tied for No. 6.
