The state sent a letter to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, urging a decision as soon as possible in the Pulaski County school desegregation case.

At issue is whether the 8th Circuit agrees whether the Little Rock School District can be unitary and released from court supervision. John Walker, an attorney representing black students, objected to the state's letter, saying it was "inappropriate." The 8th Circuit clerk responded.
