The print on Saturday’s editions was still fresh when Arkansas running back Darren McFadden’s name was starting to recirculate in Heisman Trophy talk after a 206-yard, 3-touchdown performance in Arkansas’ 50-48 triple-overtime victory over LSU on Friday in Baton Rouge.

Darren McFadden is Arkansas’ first legitimate contender for the Heisman Trophy and news of his game and fame is spreading across the country. “I’ve been in this game a long time, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen two backs in the same backfield like McFadden and Jones. I know it’s early in his career, but I think when you start talking about the all-time great backs that have played college football, McFadden’s name has got to be in that discussion. ...
