2nd again

Posted December 9, 2007

McFadden's total was the highest total ever for a second-place finisher. In fact, the 96 percent return rate for the ballots was the highest ever in Heisman history. Tebow became the first sophomore to ever win the award. This follows on the heels of Tebow winning the national title as a freshman.

McFadden becomes the first players since 1949 to finish second in the Heisman balloting two years in a row. The last player to finish second two seasons in a row was North Carolina running back Charlie Justice.
