Former Hogs assistant feeling better

LITTLE ROCK — Danny Nutt, who was forced to resign as the Arkansas Razorbacks’ running backs coach because of a potentially life-threatening brain condition, said Wednesday his condition has stabilized and he is “out of the woods.”
Nutt, who spoke from his home in Fayetteville, said the bleeding on his brain stem from leaking blood vessels has stopped. He is scheduled back in Little Rock in two weeks for a follow-up exam with Little Rock neurosurgeon Dr. Gazi Yasargilto make sure there is no blood left on his brain.
“I’m feeling so much better,” Nutt said. “I had a real good week this last week, and I feel so much better. I think I’m about out of the woods. All these prayers [from people around the country] really helped me. I really believe that’s why the bleeding stopped.”
