UA Athletic Department annnouncing restructuring, sources say

Incoming Athletic Director Jeff Long is expected to announce a change in the structure of the University of Arkansas Fayetteville athletic department in an 11 a.m. press conference today.

Sources say the announcement in the lobby of the Administration Building will include the merger of the men's and women's athletic programs.

This will be the first major change under incoming director Long, who will officially take the reins January 1 when current director Frank Boyles steps down. UA Chancellor John White is expected to attend.
