More than 4,000 fans went online and voted for who Darren McFadden and Felix Jones should be for Halloween, and the results will be revealed Wednesday afternoon when the duo make their entrance at the student union.

The idea for the costume creativity originated this summer and at first just McFadden was to do it. The Heisman Trophy runner-up is no stranger to having a little fun around Halloween — last year he donned a clown-nerd get-up complete with a wig.

So when it was decided Jones would also dress up, the ideas rolled in. The field was narrowed down to three: The Bedrock duo of Fred and Barney, the singing, dancing and sunglass-wearing Blues Brothers, or the erstwhile hippy-happy couple Sonny and Cher.

Josh Maxson, assistant sports information director, said the All-Americans were on board from the beginning. He said for McFadden, the more outrageous the costume, the better.

Which is why if Sonny and Cher got the most votes, then McFadden will embrace the long hair and ostentatious outfit of Cher. Maxson said it would be a natural fit, because McFadden is the taller of the two, and has previously dressed up as a woman for comedic effect.

In high school, he came to class as an over-the-top granny, and it wasn't for Halloween.

"He just likes to make people laugh," Maxson said.

After the debut Wednesday, both players' costumes will be put up for auction on www.Hogwired.com with all off the proceeds going to charity. The money from McFadden's costume will be donated to his hometown Boys and Girls Club in Little Rock, while the proceeds from Jones' outfit will go to his hometown Boys and Girls Club in Tulsa.
