1960s Hogs hoss marks success with string of low-profile stops

In the late 1960s, the college football world — at least the southern part of it — revolved around the Arkansas Razorbacks. The 1968 Hogs used a hard-hitting defense to go 10-1 in 1968 and were undefeated before meeting unbeaten Texas in the December 1969 matchup that would go down as “The Big Shootout.” But the man who was often at the center of what’s still considered the Hogs’ heyday didn’t take to all the hubbub.
