Being a star athlete in Arkansas can be like being the biggest fish in the pond.
But it can also be like living in a fishbowl.
Arkansas running back and presumed first-round NFL Draft pick Darren McFadden is finding that out the hard way.
The multitalented McFadden found himself in a bad situation early Thursday morning when he was handcuffed outside a River Market bar in downtown Little Rock.
McFadden wasn’t arrested in either situation, but both times McFadden’s late-night escapades received considerable media attention.
“You’re placed in a position if you make a wrong choice, it’s news. Not Page 7 news, it’s front page news,” former Razorbacks football player David Bazzel said.
