FAYETTEVILLE — There was a time when Wallace Spearmon Jr.’s dad didn’t want him running track. Never mind that Wallace Spearmon Sr. had earned his spot in Arkansas’ storied track and field history, twice earning All-America honors during a four-year career that included the Razorbacks’ first indoor and outdoor national championships.
