Arkansas comes up short in ninth inning

— No. 1 Arizona State used home runs by Ike Davis and Marcel Champagnie to remain undefeated Tuesday night.

Davis hit two home runs and Champagnie hit one to lead Arizona State a 6-5 victory over Arkansas at Packard Stadium. The Razorbacks put two runners on base in the ninth inning, but Andy Wilkins and Casey Coon struck out to end the game.

Arizona (13-0) is ranked first in three national polls and second by Baseball America.
