ABC Sports to air Arkansas-Texas game
By ArkansasOnline
Arkansas and Texas will renew their football rivalry this fall in a nationally-televised game on ABC Sports.
The Razorbacks and Longhorns will square off in the nonconference game at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Arkansas’ matchup against its former Southwest Conference rival is the second game on the Razorbacks’ 2008 schedule scheduled to be nationally televised. First-year head coach Bobby Petrino will lead the Hogs against defending national champion LSU on Nov. 28 in Little Rock in a game nationally-televised by CBS Sports.
No further television arrangements involving the Razorbacks for the 2008 season have been made at this time. Networks may wait until 12 days prior to a game to select that contest for telecast.
Arkansas has appeared on television 18 times in the past two seasons, including seven television appearances in 2007.
